We offer Physical and Mental Health Disability Assessments for service-related injuries performed by our licensed practitioners, enabling you to qualify for your Benefits and Entitlements. Assessments are at no-cost to you and you keep 100% of any financial award – we would never take a dime.

Assessments are Required to Access Services and Supports

Military Veterans and RCMP members are eligible for healthcare services and may also qualify for a Disability Award as a result of a service-related injury.

There is no cost to you, and if you qualify for a Disability Award, you keep 100% of the financial entitlement.

There are two types of Assessments, and you can do one or the other, or both, depending on your needs. You are also entitled to be reassessed every two (2) years.

Physical Health Assessment

  • Conducted by a Nurse Practitioner
  • Evaluates physical capacity and limitations
  • Diagnoses may include Lumbar Disc Disease, Plantar Fasciitis, ED
  • Must be done in-person

Mental Health Assessment

  • Conducted by a Psychologist
  • Evaluates mood, cognition, and function
  • Diagnoses may include PTSD, Anxiety
  • Can be done in-person or virtually

How Much Can I Receive?

To qualify for a Disability Benefit, you must have a service-related diagnosed medical condition or disability. VAC ultimately makes the determination based on your application. The first step is to get assessed, and you can start that process by speaking with a member of our team.

The amount you receive depends on the degree to which your condition is related to your service and the severity of your condition, including its impact on your quality of life.

The overall maximum Pain and Suffering Compensation (PSC) Lump Sum Amount for Military Veterans is currently $452,898.74 (this does not apply to RCMP) - though we cannot guarantee you will qualify or receive that amount.

In addition to a potential financial benefit, you may also become eligible to access a range of services and products.

For example, getting more chiropractor visits. VAC had told me I could not get more then 15, but Echelon can navigate blue cross/vac to help you get more.
