For Military Veterans and RCMP, Shockwave Therapy for ED is eligible for coverage as a consequential condition to their previously diagnosed mental health conditions, as well as a standalone condition.
According to VAC, the most common conditions eligible for Shockwave Therapy for ED are:
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Trauma-related symptoms from service or injury
Anxiety Disorders: Generalized anxiety, panic attacks, or chronic worry
Depression: Persistent sadness, low energy, or loss of interest
Erectile Dysfunction: The consistent difficulty in achieving or sustaining an erection adequate for sexual activity
If you are experiencing Erectile Dysfunction, you may be eligible for a Disability Benefit in the form of financial entitlements and treatment benefits. Our healthcare professionals will complete a Disability Assessment and submit your claim to VAC. There is no out-of-pocket cost for the submission, and we do not take any of the compensation awarded to you.
