Conditions Treated by Individual Counselling
For Military Veterans and RCMP, Individual Counselling is especially effective in managing service-related mental health challenges and improving overall well-being.

According to VAC, the most common mental health conditions eligible for Individual Counselling include:
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD): Trauma-related symptoms from service or injury
Anxiety Disorders: Generalized anxiety, panic attacks, or chronic worry
Depression: Persistent sadness, low energy, or loss of interest

Individual Counselling Entitlement
According to VAC, if you have an eligible condition or complete a Mental Health Disability Assessment, you are entitled to the following Individual Counselling services:
40 Individual Counselling Hours Per Calendar Year
However, the annual frequency limit may be increased when it can be shown that treatment has been effective and is reasonably expected to continue to be effective in reaching the desired treatment outcomes.
